San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has earned himself a fine the incoming President of the United States might be happy to pay for him.
Bosa caused a major stir after helping the Niners defeat the Dallas Cowboys in late October, crashing his teammates’ postgame interview to display a MAGA hat.
According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, the league has chosen to fine the Pro Bowler for his actions in a move that will leave him $11,255 short. Bosa shouldn’t mind too much, as he’s already claimed that any fine would be worth it given Donald Trump’s win.
“The NFL fined #49ers star Nick Bosa $11,255 for violating league policy against displaying personal messages by crashing NBC’s postgame interview Oct. 27 wearing a MAGA hat, per source,” Pelissero reported on Saturday afternoon.
“After Donald Trump’s win, Bosa said any fine is “well worth it”.”

Which NFL Rule Did Nick Bosa Break?
Bosa isn’t being fined because his display was political. But he’s been taken to task by the league because it was personal and was not approved.
Pelissero has referenced the rule, details of which are below:
“Rule 5, Section 4, Article 8 of the NFL rulebook states that “throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office.
“It costs Nick Bosa $11,255 — a price he is happy to pay.”
