The NFL will have no shortage of options for their final Sunday Night Football matchup of the 2022 regular season.
The AFC East matchup between the Patriots and Bills could have some serious implications for both team. As will the NFC East battle between the Giants and Eagles.
The Ravens and Bengals could find themselves playing for the AFC North title if certain things go right, while the Jaguars and Titans will battle it out for AFC South supremacy and a spot in the postseason.
Those are all crucial battles, but according to reports, the NFL will be passing them all over in favor of an NFC North contest between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.
It’s an interesting choice by the NFL and NBC, if the rumors are true. While the Packers will secure a playoff spot with a win, the Lions will need the Seattle Seahawks to lose to the Rams earlier in the day in order for the game to have any meaning for them.
The safest bet would have seemed to be the Jaguars-Titans game, but let’s be honest; the Packers and Lions are much more attractive teams than a battle between Tennessee and Jacksonville.

And with the game taking place at the stories Lambeau Field, it seems like that would be the cherry on top of the NFL’s sundae.
