The NFL Films dropped their special on the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals and gave us that moment that changed everything for the Chiefs when they decided to go for a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half instead of a field goal to extend their lead.
That would come back to bite them in the butt as the Chiefs only scored 3 points for the rest of the game.
In the footage below, Patrick Mahomes could be seen telling head coach Andy Reid that he wanted to run one more play, so the coach agreed. Bad decision.
“One More. I got it,” the star quarterback said.
With five seconds remaining on the clock, Mahomes threw a screen pass to Tyreek Hill at about the six yard line. He got tackled short and the half was over.
Overcoming a 21-3 first-half deficit, the Bengals stormed back to win the game 27-24 in overtime.

The Chiefs will have to think about this moment all offseason as they cost themselves a chance to go back to the Super Bowl.
