NFL fans are buzzing after Zach Wilson’s grade-A impression of teammate Aaron Rodgers during the New York Jets’ preseason game on Saturday.
During the second quarter of the Jets’ first preseason contest against the Carolina Panthers, Wilson perfectly mirrored the four-time MVP with this Rodgers-like play-action play that led to a Kenny Yeboah touchdown:

The Jets drafted the BYU product with the No. 2 pick in 2021, but his inconsistent play over two seasons prompted the AFC East club to seek an upgrade at QB. Rodgers was traded to the Jets ahead of this year’s draft, automatically sending Wilson to second-stringer duties.
Through his first two seasons, Wilson went 8-14-0 with a completion percentage of 55.2, 4,022 passing yards and 1 5 touchdowns against 18 interceptions. But learning behind one of the all-time greats in Rodgers can only help Wilson improve, whenever he gets the chance to be a starter elsewhere.
The Jets will open their 2023 regular season at home against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 11.
