NFL fans are calling for the league to implement a feature from the XFL’s replay system after seeing it in action this weekend.
The newly-revamped XFL, which was taken over by Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson and his ex-wife Dani Garcia in 2020, debuted this Saturday. The action kicked off with a game between the Arlington Renegades and Vegas Vipers, giving football fans additional viewing, with the NFL concluding its campaign with Super Bowl 57 on Sunday.
A first-half call saw the replay center come into play as XFL VP of officiating and rules innovation, Dean Blandino, offered guidance to the referee from the command center, leading to the field ruling getting overturned with absolute transparency.

The command center was also instrumental following a fumble recovery and a subsequent coach’s challenge in the second half.
Officiating has been a sore point for the NFL lately. Commissioner Roger Goodell told a press conference that officiating was at its very best ahead of the Super Bowl but he might have a hard time finding many people who agree with him.
