Plenty of NFL fans on Twitter weren’t pleased with Cris Collinsworth’s praise of Aaron Rodgers during the Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday evening.
Rodgers and the struggling Packers came into Lincoln Financial Field with a 4-7 record and in desperate need of a victory. But the NFL’s best team was too much for Green Bay, who look poised to miss the playoffs for just the third time since 2009.
Rodgers had to leave the game late in the second half with an oblique injury. 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love finished the game for Green Bay, even throwing a 63-yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson on just his third pass attempt of the game.
Collinsworth, like any NFL analyst, is always going to compliment top-level players like Rodgers. Nonetheless, many fans weren’t pleased with his compliments on the four-time league MVP and future Hall of Famer.
