NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is again the subject of rife criticism following yet another controversial call in a big game.
Following the questionable decisions which took place during the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals last month, NFL fans were hoping the Super Bowl would be free of such incidents. The officials, however, had other ideas, and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry ended up conceding a crucial first down by means of a holding call late in the fourth quarter.
While the action seemed insignificant and didn’t prevent JuJu Smith-Schuster from going where he wanted to, Bradberry has admitted culpability.
Goodell, who surprisingly claimed that officiating in the league has never been better in the buildup to Sunday’s game, has come under fire for his comments. It hasn’t helped that he was filmed sharing a very passionate hug with KC defensive tackle Chris Jones after the game on Sunday.

Goodell’s done himself no favors with this untimely hug. It will only serve to make the “rigged” chants louder.
