The Washington Football Team are a dumpster fire organization. The team has been to the postseason just four times since 2005. Not a single playoff win has happened in those appearances as they lost in the Wild Card Game in 2006, 2012, 2015, and 2020.
To make matters worse, social media has uncovered a crazy fact about three of the four NFC head coaches remaining in the 2021-22 NFL playoffs having something in common: They were all on Washington’s coaching staff in 2013.
The team went 3-13 after winning the NFC East the year before with a 10-6 record. It would be the final year Mike Shanahan would coach in the league. On that team, Matt LaFleur was the quarterbacks coach, Sean McVay was the tight ends coach and Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator. Now, those three coaches are head coaches of the Packers, Rams and 49ers.

Washington has only had two winning records since 2013.
It should be noted that all three did not go straight to coaching after their stint in Washington was over.
LaFleur worked as a quarterbacks coach with the Falcons before transitioning to offensive coordinator with the Rams and Titans. He became Packers head coach in 2019.
Shanahan continued to work as an offensive coordinator with the Browns and then the Falcons before he was hired as the head coach of the 49ers in 2017.
McVay stayed with Washington the longest, all the way until 2017, but worked as an offensive coordinator for the three seasons prior. He was then named Rams head coach in 2017.
They all put in the work, got promoted and are now deep into the playoffs.
