We’re only one week into the 2023 NFL season, and fans are already back to accusing the league of being rigged.
New York Jets’ rookie Xavier Gipson had a game-winning 65-yard punt return touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in overtime, moving his team to 1-0 on the year.
But as noted by former NFL referee and ESPN rules analyst John Parry, the officials missed a blatant tripping penalty on Jets’ linebacker Chazz Surratt that should’ve brought the touchdown back:
