Not only is football season right around the corner, but it’s also time for viral reports to come from training camps about how certain players are doing on the field.
If you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself being caught up reacting to a report that isn’t true.
The latest rumor, which is clearly based on fiction, comes from a NY Giants Insider named Wesley Steinberg who is reporting from camp. Unfortunately for fans, he is not actually an insider or there at the camp.
However, the person who runs the account reported that Daniel Jones threw an errant pass at camp and hit a disabled kid in the crowd. It didn’t actually happen, but it did not stop the report from going viral.
“Eye-witness reports from camp today tell me QB Daniel Jones accidentally hit a disabled fan with a misplaced pass.”

Daniel Jones is entering the final year of his contract as the Giants declined his fifth-year option. New York could use the franchise tag on Jones next offseason if he plays well in 2022.
The 24-year-old was selected by the Giants with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
In 2021, Jones appeared in 11 games and recorded 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Jones has a total of 8,398 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, 29 interceptions, 1,000 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns, and 36 fumbles in 37 games started.
