This offseason has been wild when it comes to wide receiver movement and it just might not be over yet. Among the moves we have already seen is Davante Adams being traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill was dealt to the Miami Dolphins.
Both moves had to do with money, and there are other star-wide receivers looking for new deals who could be on the move next. This week, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel removed his 49ers profile picture on Instagram, unfollowed the team, and deleted multiple posts from his account.
Could this mean something, or nothing?
Well, he not only did that, but also followed a ton of Raiders players on Instagram.
Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He is coming off of a career year, in which he caught 77 passes for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns. He was also used as a running back in Kyle Shanahan’s system, rushing 59 times for 365 yards and eight more touchdowns.
There may be something to Samuel’s activity on social media, and there may not be. Either way, it has garnered a ton of chatter online:
