Broncos’ first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft made a big splash on defense this week.

Surtain’s potential was exposed on Tuesday as he intercepted Russell Wilson in the first 11-11 game of Broncos’ OTA training. After securing the ball, the ninth pick in 2021 took off in the other direction and may have scored in the game.

After starting 15 games his rookie season, Surtain finished with 4 interceptions, 58 tackles, and an impressive 14 passes defensed.

Wilson completed 64.8% of his passes for 3,113 yards with 25 touchdowns and only six interceptions in 14 games played last year.
