Twice in four months, Mike Evans gave away a special football connected to Tom Brady.
As one of the league’s best receivers, Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans is used to catching touchdowns. So when he caught a scoring pass from Tom Brady back in October, Evans didn’t think anything of it, so he gave it to a fan. Only one problem: it was a milestone touchdown pass for Brady. It was the 600th of his career, making him the first player in NFL history to reach the mark.
Fast forward to January and it happened again. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady officially called it a career on Tuesday after a legendary 22-year run in the NFL, which had people thinking about his final touchdown of his storied career.
As expected, it went to Mike Evans, who had no clue at the time, so he unknowingly tossed the ball into the stands.
Evans was the last player to catch a touchdown pass from Brady and now a fan has their hands on that special ball that will certainly go up for auction fairly soon.
