Football fans can’t believe how much money they’re going to have to fork out if they want to get or retain NFL Sunday Ticket.
YouTube has announced its prices for the service on the back of its new deal with the league and it appears football fans are wishing it had stayed with DirecTV. Given that the streaming giants are paying a reported $2 billion-a-year for rights to the package following a dogfight with the likes of Apple, Amazon, and others, Sunday Ticket was always going to be expensive.
No one expected it to be that expensive, though.
If you’re already subscribed to YouTube TV, you could get the basic package for $249 from now until June 6 ($289 with RedZone). After June 6, it goes up to $349 ($389 with RedZone).
If you’re going the way of YouTube Prime Channels, you’re going to have to pay either $349 or $449 depending on whether you sign up before or after the aforementioned date. Packages including RedZone are $389 and $489.
Social media reactions to this have been unanimous. You could check some out below:

Also disappointing is the fact that there was no announcement on out-of-market games for single teams. But, on the bright side, YouTube TV subscribers could get RedZone on its own via the $10.99-a-month Sports Plus add-on.
