It didn’t take long for patience to wear thin on several football fans who turned on ESPN to watch the New York Jets-Buffalo Bills “Monday Night Football” game.

Monday night marked a milestone moment for the ESPN “Monday Night Football” commentators. As noted by Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Buck and Aikman are now officially the longest-serving NFL tandem ever, officially surpassing the legendary John Madden-Pat Summerall duo.

Buck and Aikman joined ESPN last year after previously serving as the No. 1 NFL commentary duo at FOX Sports from 2002 to 2021.

Impressive.

With ESPN's telecast of tonight's "Monday Night Football," Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will become the longest-serving NFL announce duo ever, surpassing the late John Madden and Pat Summerall.
