Longtime NFL Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is calling it quits after a 17 year career, which seen him start at QB for nine different franchises, an NFL record. Fitzpatrick, aka “Fitzmagic” also holds the records for most passing yards (34,990) for a quarterback who never appeared in a playoff game.
For the majority of his career, he was seen more as a Plan B quarterback, filling in for an injured starter, or filling the void until a younger quarterback with more potential was ready. However, considering he was a seventh round draft pick, 250th overall out of the Ivy League’s Harvard University, he ended up having a solid career despite the fact he bounced around so much.
As the years went on, Fitzpatrick’s facial hair became quite the topic of discussion, as it continued to grow longer and longer. NFL Insider Adam Schefter posted a pic of what he called “A Fitzmagical Transformation”
It was the perfect photo to illustrate just how far Ryan Fitzpatrick has come since he broke into the NFL back in 2005. And the football fans on Twitter wasted little time roasting the journeyman QB one last time before he rides off into the sunset.

It is being reported that Fitzpatrick will join the booth in a broadcasting role with Amazon. He is a highly educated, well spoken man who should thrive in this new position if he so chooses to go that route.
