Move over Dallas Cowboys. There is a new ‘America’s Team’ in the National Football League, at least according to Colin Cowherd.
Colin Cowherd wants Dallas to forfeit the label in favor of another NFC team because they have a brand spanking new stadium, strong front office, and one of the best defensive players of all-time coming back for another year.
Cowherd argued that the Los Angeles Rams now deserve the honor.
“To be America’s team, don’t you have to win a lot when America’s watching in the playoffs? The Packers don’t, the Steelers don’t, and the Cowboys don’t,” Cowherd said. “You know who does win for America and in America? The Rams. I am today declaring the Rams the new America’s Team.”
The Rams are a better team at the moment, but they are not a team that moves the needle quite like the Cowboys. When it comes to Dallas, their fans don’t miss a game, but even more importantly, their haters won’t miss them either, just for a chance to see them lose.
The Rams are expected to be contenders in 2022, but their ride at the top could be short-lived, seeing as how the team has a lack of draft capital over the next few years.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys led the NFL in average attendance last season and currently have the largest social media following, despite their lack of postseason success.
