A scary scene unfolded on Thursday Night Football tonight. Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had to be stretchered off the field and taken to a local hospital after suffering what appeared to be a serious head injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Late in the second quarter, Tua was swung down hard to the ground by a Bengals defensive lineman, causing him to hit his head and back on the ground.
Tua’s hands immediately appeared to cramp up, at which point it was clear that he was dealing with something serious. After being attended to on the field for several minutes, he was stretchered off the field.
This is the last thing that anyone wants to see during a football game, but according to many people’s beliefs, it was completely avoidable.
For those who haven’t been keeping up, there’s been a heated debate going on since Sunday, after Tua was allowed to re-enter the Dolphins’ game against the Buffalo Bills after smacking his head on the ground and losing his balance after trying to get up from the hit.

Tua and the Dolphins claimed that he didn’t suffer a concussion on that play — instead insisting that his back had just locked up.
Many called bullsh-t on Tua and the Dolphins, and it seems as though this injury has only ignited the naysayers, as they’re now calling for Dolphins and NFL medical personnel to be fired as a result of Tua’s suffering a second head injury in less than a week.
