Some fans think that NFL Network analyst and former NFL quarterbacks David Carr has already given away his brother’s next team.
David’s younger brother, Derek Carr, was released by the Las Vegas Raiders last week after refusing to waive his no-trade clause. The younger Carr, who previously met with the New Orleans Saints, had a visit with the New York Jets over the weekend.
David discussed Derek’s visit and the potential Jets’ fit on “NFL Total Access”. Notice the color of David’s tie? To some fans, that’s a giveaway that Gang Green will win the Derek Carr sweepstakes.

The Jets finished 7-10 last season on the basis of a strong rushing game and a stingy defense. But porous quarterback play from the trio of Zach Wilson, Mike White and Joe Flacco held the offense back and prevented the Jets from ending their 12-year playoff drought.
It’s quite evident that the Jets are a simply QB upgrade away from emerging as a legitimate playoff contender. Carr, a four-time Pro Bowler, is an annual threat for 4,000 passing yards and 25 touchdowns per season when heaelthy.
Will the Jets end up being the lucky winners of the Carr sweepstakes? Or will it be the Saints? Or another team? Carr is free to make his decision whenever he want, and it can’t come soon enough for the QB-needy clubs.
