Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is receiving plenty of praise around the NFL world for a classy gesture he performed at a recent event for 2023 draftees.
On a recent episode of 1075 The Fan’s ‘Kevin and Query,’ co-host Jake Query detailed a story that Colts GM Chris Ballard shared about Richardson. After an orientation for rookies, Richardson stayed behind to help clean up a messy room.
According to Troy Vincent, the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the NFL, Richardson was cleaning tables on his own. When Vincent told the Florida Gators product that it wasn’t necessary, Richardson stated, “We left this room in an unacceptable condition. And it’s not right for us to expect the staff to clean it all up.”
Vincent then told Richardson he was free to leave, but the No. 4 selection of this year’s draft voluntarily stayed behind until the room was cleaned up.
Fans on social media showered Richardson with plenty of praise for his heartwarming act.

Richardson was the third quarterback taken in the draft, behind Alabama’s Bryce Young (first overall to the Carolina Panthers) and C.J. Stroud (second overall to the Houston Texans). Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. was the No. 3 selection by the Texans.
The Colts, coming off a second straight non-playoff season, have plenty of newfound hope with Richardson now leading the locker room and the offense.
