Tua Tagovailoa may have gotten the win today, but many are blasting the Miami Dolphins for allowing him to return to the game when he seemed to be concussed.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback briefly left Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills with an injury in the second quarter. Tagovailoa was dropping back to avoid a Bills defender and was pushed down as you could see his neck snap back and his helmet hit the ground.
Tagovailoa got up and appeared to try to shake off whatever was bothering him. As he tried to walk up the field to return to the huddle, Tagovailoa fell to the ground. He had to be held up by two of his teammates as their medical personnel ran on the field.
He was later diagnosed with a head injury and was questionable to return.
The former Alabama star would soon return and everybody questioned why he would be allowed back on the field.
Apparently, he was dealing with a back injury – not a head injury, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

“My understanding of the Tua Tagovailoa situation: He tweaked his back in the 1st quarter on a sneak and didn’t miss time. After the Matt Milano hit, his back locked up — leading to him wobbling. Into the locker room for a full concussion check. Fully cleared. Now on the field.”
Nobody believed that.
