Hard Knocks has a way of making NFL fans care about a team they usually wouldn’t think about it during the season, and this latest edition is no different.
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell has the perfect personality for the HBO hit docuseries and it was on full display on Tuesday night.
Campbell had fans going crazy over one quote during the first episode. Campbell delivers a line to the team that is sure to gain traction in headlines and on social media:
“It doesn’t matter if you have one ass cheek and three toes. I will beat your ass.”
Campbell then mentions the Metallica song “No Leaf Clover” to send his speech home:
“There is no light at the end of the tunnel. There is no light … When it comes to the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, it’s just a freight train coming your way. If you see a (expletive) light, it’s a freight train.”
