Social media is in stitches over a viral image of a Denver Broncos fan dealing with a raccoon that invaded the stadium during Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Several images and videos surfaced of a raccoon running around a seating section of Empower Field at Mile High while the Denver Broncos hosted their AFC West rivals in Week 5.
One image shows a Broncos fan in a cowboy hat taking matters into his own hands by picking up the raccoon and carrying it away from harm to potential spectators. The best part of the image is the priceless facial expression of the raccoon after being captured:

The Broncos fans in that section got more than they bargained for, but they also got to watch their team pick up a third straight victory with a 34-18 win over the Raiders.
Quarterback Bo Nix threw two touchdowns, becoming the first Denver Broncos rookie signal-caller to win three straight starts. Running back Javonte Williams had 111 scrimmage yards, and the Denver defense racked up three interceptions in the victory.
Per KDVR, a Broncos spokesperson stated that Animal Control and stadium staff “promptly resolved” the matter.
The Broncos will stay in Mile High City as they prepare for a Week 6 home tilt against Justin Herbert and the division rival Los Angeles Chargers.

Expectations for the Broncos coming into this season weren’t exactly high, and they didn’t inspire much confidence in their fans after losing the first two games.
But Nix has done a better job of protecting the football, and the Pat Surtain II-led defense has put the clamps down on opposing quarterbacks. The defense is allowing just 11.3 points per game during their winning streak, too.
