Prime Video has taken a strong political stance regarding ‘Thursday Night Football.’
The streaming platform has exclusive rights to the NFL’s Thursday games and is airing tonight’s clash between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
A social media post revealing Prime has decided not to adulterate the games with political ads received a great reception during the NFC West showdown.
“Amazon has been turning down significant money from different political campaigns. Unlike other network partners who only show political ads,” MFFootball reported on Thursday night.

“Those ads are so annoying. Rare Amazon Prime W,” someone commented.
“The@NFL needs to demand this in contracts. Nobody wants trash political ads when they sit down after a hard day of work to relax and watch a good football game,” another added.
“This is the way!” said a third.
“They show enough through almost every other medium at every given point so I’m happy for the reprieve,” a fourth noted.
“Major W tbh. It’s good to have a few hours without the noise,” another fan wrote.
“this is a great move, more streaming services need to pay more attention to what the viewers want instead of forcing things,” someone else added.
It appears fans don’t care for politics when games are on and would prefer the two not to mix. With elections around the corner, Americans are being bombarded with ads and promotional material at every turn.
They certainly appreciate the break.
As for the game, the Niners had entered halftime with a 16-3 lead over Seattle, with the third quarter kicking off at the time of writing.
