Football fans are accusing the NFL referees of “rigging” Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions following a controversial game-changing non-call late in the contest.
The Rams were trailing 24-23 with four and a half minutes to go, facing a 3rd-and-14 situation at the Detroit 34. Matthew Stafford attempted a deep pass to rookie star wideout Puka Nacua that fell incomplete while being defended by Cameron Sutton.
A close-up replay, however, shows that Sutton got away with blatant defensive holding/pass interference. The infraction went uncalled, however, and the Lions ran out the clock after forcing a Rams punt:

The Lions barely held on for a close one-point victory for the franchise’s first playoff victory in 32 years. They’ll host the winner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Philadelphia Eagles game in next week’s Divisional Round.
