Aaron Rodgers is having a terrible 2022 campaign record-wise as his Green Bay Packers continue to rack up losses. One NFL executive is now taking him to task over his desire for wide receivers.
Mike Sando of The Athletic spoke to an NFL talent evaluator who admitted that the Packers do need at the position, but anybody they bring will never be enough for Rodgers.
“There is so much there (in Green Bay) that we don’t know when it comes to Aaron Rodgers and his wide receivers,” the evaluator told Sando. “It is almost like, ‘Why would we spend premium draft capital on someone the quarterback probably will not like?’ That is what it comes across as to me. Rodgers plays a part in it, too, like nobody is good enough. They can’t please him.”
One example is how the 10-time Pro Bowler spoke about Amari Rodgers, a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft who caught four passes for 45 yards as a rookie:
Over the years, many have pointed to Rodgers’ lone Super Bowl appearance as evidence of how badly Green Bay has failed to capitalize on having a Hall of Fame quarterback for 15 seasons as a starter.
Despite their many failures, it should be noted that Greg Jennings, James Jones, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and Davante Adams were all drafted by the team. Things have been terrible this year just because the team traded away Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. He is equally having a terrible year with his new team.

During Sunday Night Football, Rodgers finished the game 19-for-30 passing for 203 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The struggling passing game was on full display as the team continued to run the football instead of putting the ball in the air with their star quarterback as they were down two scores in the second half.
Things got so bad that Bills star pass rusher Von Miller asked Rodgers if the Packers were going to start passing the ball more.
With the loss to Buffalo, the Packers are 3–5 through eight games this season. Green Bay plays at Detroit on Sunday.
