Whomever is running the NFL’s Twitter account really did not think this through at all.
The social media manager posted a clip on Thursday night of Liberty quarterback Malik Willis unleashing some passes at the NFL Combine which was perfectly fine, but the caption that came along with it was entirely insensitive.
The NFL posted that “Malik Willis has hit the LAUNCH CODES,” meaning that he was dropping bombs.
As you know, Russia has invaded Ukraine and dropping bombs on them every single day since declaring war. Soldiers and civilians are dying left and right, which is why that above tweet had to be removed.
