It seems at least one coach needs a miracle to keep his coaching job.
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is apparently doomed.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz, the Chargers head coach needs a miracle:
“Brandon Staley, barring a miracle down the stretch, is out with the Los Angeles Chargers,” Schultz declared. “And the reason is, they have not had sustained regular season success, they’ve only been to one playoff game in three years that was a catastrophic loss to the Jaguars, their defense is consistently [in] the bottom half, or in this case, this season, bottom five across every major statistical category, including total defense, which is dead last.”
Staley has guided the club to a 4-7 record thus far in the current 2023 NFL season. This season is coming off a playoff loss that saw the team up 27-0 late in the first half of their wild-card clash with the Jaguars only for them to lose it. Los Angeles’ 27-point blown lead was the largest in franchise history.

Staley’s seat was already scorching after that and now that the team seems to be worse, he is soon to be on the outside looking in.
There’s also no denying that under Staley, the Chargers have mastered the art of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The 4-7 Chargers have played in seven one-score games and have won only two of them.
Staley has coached 45 games with the Chargers and is one game over .500. His teams have consistently underachieved.
