NFL fans are calling for a notable wide receiver to be cut following a forgettable outing on Monday night.
The Kansas City Chiefs fell 21-17 to the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl 57 rematch on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs’ only real issue throughout the game? Too many drops on beautiful passes from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, including this from wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling:
Valdes-Scantling’s drop proved costly, as the Chiefs turned it over on downs to plays later. MVS’ brutal blooper led to plenty of calls on social media for him to be cut:

Valdes-Scantling is in the second season of a three-year pact he signed in the 2022 offseason. Given Kansas City’s lack of depth at wide receiver, it’s hard to envision Andy Reid and company cutting one of their more experienced pass-catchers.
