The Minnesota Vikings have the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Coming off a disappointing 7-10 finish in 2023, the Minnesota Vikings enter the offseason with uncertainty at several significant positions. Whether or not the Vikings decide to bring back veteran Kirk Cousins, the franchise desperately needs to draft its quarterback of the future.
Armed with the No. 11 overall pick in April’s NFL Draft, they are in a position to select a QB high, but maybe not the one they actually want. That means they would need to make a trade.
With potentially four of the top five quarterback prospects expected to be off the board by the time the Vikings pick, the team is reportedly doing its due diligence to make sure they get a top prospect.
A new report states the Vikings have already started conversations with the New England Patriots to get the number 3 overall pick.
In order to make it happen, it will prove to be costly as they would have to send over a minimum of three first-round picks.

The New England Patriots also need a quarterback, so in order for them to leave that spot, they would need a crazy reward in return.
In the 2023 draft, the Carolina Panthers coughed up a pair of first and second-rounders, along with wideout D.J. Moore, for the right to select Bryce Young. The price for Minnesota to move up is likely to be as costly or more.
There’s no guarantee that Jayden Daniels or a different rookie quarterback will do what Stroud did, which means the Vikings could be on the fast track to a top-10 pick in 2025, which would have the Patriots salivating even more to where they could be placed next draft.
