Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has completed his first interview with another NFL team since becoming a free agent last week.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons for their head coaching vacancy. Last week, owner Arthur Blank fired Arthur Smith following a third straight 7-10 finish.
Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced last week that they were parting ways after 24 years together. The following day, inside linebackers coach Jerod Mayo was named the Patriots’ new head coach.
Aside from the Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders also have head coaching vacancies.
