A massive trade proposal has the Los Angeles Rams trading star wide receiver Cooper Kupp to an NFC contender in a move that would take their offense to another level.
The 31-year-old Cooper Kupp has two years remaining on his contract with the Rams. Given his age and injury history (33 total game appearances in the last three years), one shouldn’t be surprised if GM Les Snead explores a trade involving the Super Bowl 56 MVP while getting younger at the WR position.
Kupp won the triple crown in his magical 2021 season, recording 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. In four playoff games during their Super Bowl run, he caught 33 passes for 478 yards and six touchdowns.
So his big-game experience and status as a Super Bowl champion should make Kupp attractive to contenders looking to take that next step forward in 2025.
Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton recently proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has the Rams trading Cooper Kupp to the Washington Commanders in exchange for 2025 third and seventh-round picks:
“Los Angeles could find a No. 2 receiver in the upcoming draft. General manager Les Snead took Kupp in the third round in 2017. Though Kupp’s receiving numbers have declined, he’s a reliable chain-mover who can be a safety blanket for a developing quarterback.
The Washington Commanders can help Jayden Daniels with this move.
Washington’s offense needs a No. 2 wide receiver option. Behind Terry McLaurin, 34-year-old tight end Zach Ertz finished second on the team in catches (66), receiving yards (654) and touchdown receptions (seven).”
STAFFORD TO KUPP.

The Commanders made a stunning run to the NFC Championship Game, but the Philadelphia Eagles crushed them 55-23. It was a tremendous year of progress for Washington, but they obviously need more playmakers for Jayden Daniels to break through in the NFC.
Cooper Kupp Would Be The Ideal Trade Target For Commanders
Washington already has most of the pieces in place to compete for a Super Bowl next season and beyond, but as Moton noted, another receiver to help Terry McLaurin is imperative.
So why not target a player like Kupp, one of the most clutch performers of this generation who would bring valuable playoff experience and leadership to this young team?
