The New York Jets have reportedly decided how they are going to move forward with their quarterback situation.
NFL insider Jay Glazer is reporting that the Jets have lost all confidence in the young QB and will move on from him at the end of the current season.
“They [the Jets] have lost all confidence in Zach Wilson. Zach lost confidence in himself going into that last game and came out with even less confidence. Expect the Jets to move on from him after this season,” Glazer said on Saturday.
Mike White Should Take Over Starting QB Duties If He’s Healthy Enough
Glazer has also claimed that Mike White will start in the Jets’ next game if he’s good enough to play.
According to Glazer, if White “is able to come back and I say if, what people don’t know is that there are multiple fractures of those ribs,” he will get the nod ahead of Wilson when NY plays the Seattle Seahawks.
While Zach’s form this season would behoove any team to revisit the drawing board, it’s still a shock when you consider that the Jets are ready to give up on a player they drafted as the No.2 overall pick just last year.

Unfortunately for the Jets, Wilson is their only under-contract QB for next year, with White, Joe Flacco and Chris Streveler all approaching free agency. So it appears they will have a whole new crop of QBs in 2023, if Glazer is to be believed.
