Something may be very well going on behind the scenes because the New York Jets are trying to make some interesting moves in free agency.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jets are actively working to sign WR Allen Lazard, Rodgers’ teammate in Green Bay, in free agency. Schefter adds that New York is trying to reunite Lazard with OC Nathaniel Hackett.
The Jets could also be going for WR Randall Cobb, who is expected to play his 13th season in 2023.
Both moves would reunite them with Rodgers should he decide to get traded to the New York Jets.
The free agent receiver class is very limited, which means Lazard is in line position to be one of the best available options this offseason.
