The New York Jets are set to make yet another change at the quarterback position for Week 14.
According to head coach Robert Saleh, Zach Wilson will return to the starting role when they play the Houston Texans this coming Sunday. Saleh said as much to reporters this Wednesday, claiming that the young signal-caller gives the Jets their best chance to win, and he’s giving him another opportunity to prove it.
The quarterback position has been a merry-go-round in NY. Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be the man before he was injured on his debut, thrusting Wilson back into the spotlight to eventually get benched in favor of Tim Boyle.
Boyle has been waived this week after failing to live up to expectations, with Brett Rypien having come in as a replacement.
It was reported that Wilson was hesitant to return to the starting role, which angered Rodgers as he’s since gone after Dianna Russini over her claims. In any case, they’re back at the point where Zach is the starter again.
