NFL fans are in agreement over a certain notion on the back of the New York Jets being confirmed as the feature team of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ for the upcoming season.
The Jets were one of four teams that were eligible to be the subject of the behind-the-scenes show in 2023 but had made their disinterest public, with head coach Robert Saleh stating that the team would prefer not to participate.
The Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints, which also meet the criteria, weren’t thrilled at the prospect either. The Washington Commanders were both eligible and willing, but their ownership change didn’t make their involvement optimal.
The NFL was understood to have approached the Detroit Lions but they were not keen on it, having featured last season.
So the league did the right thing and chose the best option from the four, with Adam Schefter of ESPN confirming as much this Wednesday. Considering the fact that there’s so much going on with the Jets this year – and by that, we mean their acquisition of Aaron Rodgers – fans agree that the NFL couldn’t have made a better pick.

‘Hard Knocks’ is no longer as popular as it used to be. But it may just get a boost from putting the Jets’ attempt to win a Super Bowl front and center.
