One of the NFL’s top marketed teams has emerged as the betting favorite to land on the upcoming season of the beloved HBO “Hard Knocks” television series.
Per Odds Shark, the New York Jets are now the betting favorites to star in the 2023 edition of “Hard Knocks” at -325. The Chicago Bears have the second-best odds at +475, followed by the New Orleans Saints (+475) and Washington Commanders (+1100).
“Hard Knocks” premiered in 2001. The first season focused on the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, followed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2002. The series was on hiatus before returning in 2007, with the Kansas City Chiefs. Actor and well-known Chiefs superfan Paul Rudd narrated that one season.
Last month, Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced on “The Pat McAfee Show” that his intention is to play for the Jets in 2023. Rodgers added at the time that the two teams just had to work out trade compensation, but there’s still no timeline on when that will happen.
If the four-time league MVP becomes a Jet, then Robert Saleh’s group will unquestionably be a logical candidate to appear on the 2023 season of “Hard Knocks.” The Jets took center stage of the 2010 season, the year in which they advanced to their second straight AFC Championship Game.
The Bears, Saints and Commanders have never been featured on the series.
