Back in February of 2018, Le’Veon Bell took to Twitter and responded to a fan who stated, “I speak on behalf of the New York Jets, well give you $60 million in cash if you come play for us.”
Bell, in a since-deleted tweet, then stated, “that ain’t enough to come run with the Jets.” Fast forward to March 2019 and there are reports stating that Bell is looking for a deal that pockets $48 million in the first three years.
The Jets might be willing to do whatever, because they not only have a ton of cap space, but that have also emerged as a favorite to sign the soon-to-be free agent running back when the new league year starts.
Out of Bell’s five seasons, he has rushed for over 1,200 yards in three of them.
