It appears Davis Webb was in no mood to have his girlfriend too close to his dad after what happened during Michigan vs. TCU last weekend.
Cameras caught Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy’s father pretending to grope his girlfriend Katya Kuropas by accident while she celebrated. The video went viral, making McCarthy’s night a lot worse than it should have been as Michigan ended up on the end of a surprise loss to the Horned Frogs.
Who knows what Webb was thinking knowing his girlfriend and his dad would be together while he ran the offense for the New York Giants against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night?
Whatever the case was, a camera caught the player’s dad and his girlfriend sharing (if you could call it that) a very awkward moment as they sat with an empty seat between them while also looking very upset.
If this was Webb’s idea, he was probably right to suggest that daddy remains at a safe distance as he checked the losing quarterback box and would have been loath to go 2-for-2 and have his father feel his girlfriend up too.
