A new team has emerged as the frontrunner for the services of two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Lamar Jackson amid the standoff with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens are no longer favored to keep the former MVP, at least that’s the way the bookmakers see it, especially given Tuesday’s events.
Adam Thomson of Bookies.com has the Ravens trailing three teams in such regard, with the Atlanta Falcons favored outright at +300 with an implied probability of 25. The Carolina Panthers are next up at +450 while the Las Vegas Raiders are third at +550.
The Falcons cut Marcus Mariota on Tuesday, with general manager Terry Fontenot claiming the team will look to bring someone else in as an addition, with Desmond Ridder still around.
A video showing Jackson’s name on the back of a Falcons jersey at the NFL Shop has been in circulation for a few days now, adding to the speculation over a possible trade between Atlanta and Baltimore.
Jackson remains at odds with the Ravens over a new deal. Last week, ESPN reported that the player was demanding a fully guaranteed, $230 million deal, which is what Deshaun Watson got from the Cleveland Browns last year.

“A couple of months ago, I would have said no way [that a trade will happen],” an ESPN source was quoted as saying. “Now it feels like anything is possible.”
Following the reports, Stephen A. Smith, also of ESPN, claimed to have been contacted by someone in the player’s camp who said Jackson has never asked for a fully-guaranteed deal, while the Ravens were unwilling to go above $130 million guaranteed.
