Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels is still raking in a ridiculous amount despite being fired by the AFC outfit close to a year ago.
McDaniels, who was replaced by Antonio Pierce on an interim basis before the team decided to hire the latter full-time, has been out of a job since he was let go last October. But that isn’t likely to be of much concern.
A recent post from MLFootball breaks down McDaniels’ salary and points out that he makes a cool $27K a day to do nothing.
Check it out below:
Of course, this is all estimation. NFL head coaches’ salaries are not usually disclosed in full, but a $27K a day wage would mean that McDaniels’ contract guaranteed him around $10 million per year.
The former HC isn’t being paid daily either, but the terms of his deal would ensure he gets every cent of his salary even after being fired unless there were settlements.

Things Have Hardly Gone Great For The Raiders Since Josh McDaniels Was Fired
Robert Saleh, the first coach to be fired this season, is said to make an estimated $20K a day, with the New York Jets terminating him last week.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are 2-4 to start the season and have just traded their best player, Davante Adams, to the Jets.
McDaniels was attached to a 3-5 record before he was fired last season. So the Raiders are actually in danger of falling to a worse position by their next game, a fixture vs. the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Still, Pierce isn’t expected to lose his job, given the understanding around team’s quarterback situation.
