The New York Jets have high hopes that they will do much better in 2024 now that Aaron Rodgers will be 100% this time around.
Months before the season, the team has a huge decision to make when it comes to the NFL Draft. Many experts see the New York Jets as a team that could trade down in the 2024 NFL draft.
However, other reports have the Jets taking one of two offensive stars.
ESPN.com NFL insider Field Yates believes that former Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers will head to the New York Jets in his recently released second mock draft.
“If I were the Jets, I would be taking an offensive tackle to add some insurance to the offensive line. But I think this GM and head coach understanding the make-or-break nature of this season say ‘We must plug a gap,’ that would be Brock Bowers,” Yates said on the SportsCenter Special: Field Yates’ NFL Mock Draft 2.0 show. “He can certainly help his team in a major way.”
Field Yates added that it would be “very much appealing” for the Jets to take an offensive tackle since Aaron Rodgers is turning 41 years old in December. However, Bowers is “a difference-making tight end who would complement star wideout Garrett Wilson and recently signed Mike Williams. He would thrive with no shortage of run-after-catch opportunities.”
One other player that is coming up is a wide receiver.

Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported on Tuesday that the New York Jets met with Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze as part of an official top-30 visit on Wednesday. Odunze is widely seen as one of the best prospects at any position in this year’s draft class and he is expected to be among the top-10 picks in this year’s draft along with Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU’s Malik Nabers.

Either player would be an added bonus for Aaron Rodgers.
New York Jets Will Be Super Bowl Contender As Long As Aaron Rodgers Remains Healthy
It took just four plays for the lights to go out on Aaron Rodgers in New York last year. Four offensive snaps ended what was supposed to be a shot at making it to the Super Bowl.
All the excitement around the Jets’ new season evaporated when Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles but hope has returned as he is 100% or will at least be there once the team begins the 2024 campaign.
