Jim Harbaugh is a wanted man at the moment.
With multiple NFL coaching vacancies having opened up ahead of the offseason, while more are expected, the Michigan head coach is in high demand. And one team is thought to have stolen ahead in the race as it’s been reported that there is mutual interest.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review, Harbaugh is likely to be open to the Raiders job based on some of the things he’s doing behind the scenes.
“The former San Francisco 49ers coach has his Michigan Wolverines in the championship game of the College Football Playoffs. But what he’s doing behind the scenes suggests he wants to return to the NFL and that he’s interested in the Raiders,” Bonsignore writes.
The journalists points to Harbaugh hiring Don Yee as his new agent. Yee also happens to be Tom Brady’s agent, and Brady is in the process of purchasing a minority stake in the Raiders from owner Mark Davis, who is thought to be very keen on hiring the Wolverines HC as a replacement for Josh McDaniels.
“Throw in his connection with Harbaugh — they both played at Michigan and now share the same agent — and it’s easy to play connect the dots,” Bonsignore adds.

The Raiders are reportedly set to give interim coach Antonio Pierce “strong consideration” due to the remarkable job he’s done since taking over. But, should Harbaugh become available after the National Championship game, it would be a no-brainer for Davis.
