A Bengals second-round draft selection in 2017, Mixon has been the team’s leadback in each of his seven seasons. he finishes his career in Cincy ranking top-three among all Bengals ever in rushing yards (6,412), rushing touchdowns (49), and attempts (1,571).
To replace him, the team signed former Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss.
After reportedly agreeing to a contract with free-agent running back Josh Jacobs, the Packers released veteran Aaron Jones. The 29-year-old would have been due $12 million in 2024 without a restructured deal. Jones rushed for over 1,000 yards three times in his seven-year career and led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2019.
In his seven seasons, Jones had rushed for 5,940 yards and scored 63 total touchdowns (45 rushing, 18 receiving). He also has caught 272 passes for 2,076 yards.
Aaron Jones has since agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year, $7 million deal.
