Another report provides more details behind the apparent strained marriage between Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen.
On Tuesday last week, Page Six reported that Brady and Bündchen both hired divorce lawyers. Neither of them have confirmed reports about the divorce.
Now, People is reporting that the problems between the power couple has been ongoing for quite a while. A source told the outlet the following:
“(The problems) are 10 years old. This has been going on forever. This is nothing new to either of them.”
People also hurt that Bündchen “is doing fine”, and that the divorce is “happening now so they can do their own thing and move on.”
Brady and Bündchen got married in 2009. They have two children, a son and a daughter. The seven-time Super Bowl champion also has a son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Brady announced his retirement from football one week after the Buccaneers were eliminated in the Divisional Round by the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

40 days later, however, Brady went back on his retirement word and announced that he was returning for a 23rd season to Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers quickly went to work in retaining key players to maximize their window of opportunity, including wide receiver Chris Godwin, running back Leonard Fournette, center Ryan Jensen and cornerback Carlton Davis.
Back in the summer, Brady made headlines by taking an 11-day absence from training camp. Personal reasons were cited as the reason why, but neither Brady nor Buccaneers coaches/management gave specific details.
The Buccaneers have struggled with consistency on both sides of the ball through two weeks, but they find themselves sitting atop the NFC South at 3-2 following a 21-15 home win over the division rival Atlanta Falcons in Week 5.
Brady and the Buccaneers will try to improve to 4-2 on the year when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday. Though five games, the three-time league MVP has completed 68.1 percent of pass attempts for 1,409 yards and seven touchdown against only one interception.
