The New Orleans Saints have already made a big splash this offseason when they signed quarterback Derek Carr in free agency.
Now, the team may be in line for a big trade that would reunite Derek Carr with one of their favorite targets.
One player that is garnering a ton of attention this offseason that may be traded is wide receiver, Hunter Renfrow. If he becomes available, Saints beat writer Nick Underhill thinks the team should be all over it.
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur recently wrote that there’s a 50% chance that Renfrow gets traded before the season and a 90% chance he gets traded next year if he’s still on the roster.
The Saints have a few candidates who could be of interest to Las Vegas. The Raiders require additional cornerback assistance. Bradley Roby and Paulson Adebo stand out as possible candidates. Roby is a veteran who could start, while Paulson is a younger player with promise.
Last season, Renfrow finished the year with 36 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns. His skills may be used a lot more in New Orleans than they are in Las Vegas with Josh McDaniels.

During the 2021 season, he had 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns.
Those are gaudy numbers that Carr would love to recreate in New Orleans.
