One New Orleans Saints player is not feeling so good about the rest of his career.
Ryan Ramczyk’s knee has bothered him for years which is the price you pay for playing a grueling sport. The New Orleans Saints tackle was diagnosed with a cartilage defect in his knee which could be career-threatening.
The New Orleans Saints offensive lineman may require off-season surgery to repair an injured knee that has kept him out of the last two games and has him on pace to miss Week 17 against Tampa Bay.
According to WWL Louisiana media partner Nola.com, 29-year-old All-Pro tackle said he “probably” needs offseason surgery on his knee but doesn’t know “for sure yet.”
“That’s something I’ve thought about,” Ramczyk said, referring to how the knee injury might even affect his life after football. “I think this offseason, (I’m) going to try and get a lot of questions answered and talk to a lot of people and hear a lot of opinions and go from there.”
He did not miss a game to injury in his first four NFL seasons, but then missed seven games in 2021 due to his knee.
The 2017 first-round pick out of Wisconsin signed a five-year, $96 million extension in 2021 that made him the highest-paid right tackle in the league.
