C.J. Gardner-Johnson may need to reevaluate what he says and does that warrants players wanting to punch him, because he has now been in the center of two high-profiled violent interactions over the course of the last month.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims was ejected from the game against New Orleans on Sunday after sucker-punching the Saints cornerback. He is now facing a possible suspension.
Although, it appears Wims just walked up ad hit CJ for no reason, new footage suggests something happened well before that incident.
The fight seemingly began when Gardner-Johnson snatched Wims’ mouthguard from his facemask after the two exchanged words. Wims had to wait about 11 minutes to retaliate after being subbed out.
When he did, he attempted to pull Gardner-Johnson’s mouthguard but was unsuccessful — so he punched him in the helmet twice.
Wims was ejected and Gardner-Johnson later took to Instagram to fire back at him.

Wims also accused him of spitting on him prior to the brawl, something he denied doing after being asked by reporters.
Sources told the NFL Network that the league is reviewing the incident and is considering a possible suspension.
