Another day, another Tom Brady unretires conspiracy theory. This time, it has him back as a New England Patriot.
After releasing Quarterbacks Brian Zappe and Malik Cunningham, many fans believe that the former New England Quarterback could pull a Michael Jordan and unretire for a second time to join the team.
Fans believe that the vacancy at their Quarterback positions is a pathway for Brady to return to the NFL, but there is very little evidence to support it. Fans have waited for his return speech since he made it official in the winter of 2023 when he finally hung it up for good.
A former backup for University of Michigan, Brady will go down as the greatest Quarterback in NFL history. He won 6 Super Bowls as a member of the New England Patriots, as well as a 7th with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the all-time leader in yards, completions, and touchdowns in both the regular season and playoffs, and has more Super Bowl wins than any NFL team. Brady has done it all in the league.
Brady is not going back to New England. He’s not going back to the NFL. He’s not playing for the CFL at that. Fans aren’t happy with it, but he won’t come back. He’s retired and will stay retired until the Commanders are renamed the Washington Wizards.
