New England Patriots Reportedly Attempted To Make 2 Blockbuster Trades

The New England Patriots are set to enter the 2020 season without Tom Brady for the first time since 2000 after he announced his decision to move on from the franchise earlier in the week.

The Patriots haven’t been sitting on their hands during this time as reports emerged of them of the team trying to improve on offense.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Patriots were one of four teams who had interest in trading for DeAndre Hopkins before he landed in Arizona.

Then came a report from Albert Breer of the MMQB who stated the Patriots also tried to get Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs before he got sent to division rival Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots were another team that talked to the Vikings about Stefon Diggs on Monday. The Redskins had interest, too, but their draft pick situation (they weren't going to trade the second overall pick, and have no second-rounder) made it tough.
